Aldridge Place

The site constraints included a historically contributing home, large trees and impervious coverage.  The goal was to create a primary ensuite addition to add a bathroom and lots of closet space.  The house had a few additions and remodels done previously so we needed to work with the existing volumes on the home.  This led us to create a volume unlike the rest using a brick with parapets to make it an apparent addition to the lapped wood cladding and gabled roofs.  The rounded corners helped to ease the views from the dining space into the rear yards.
